Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to lead our company with finding and retaining excellent employees. You will be entrusted with our ongoing quest to find talent, build a strong employment brand, and lead employee engagement. Working closely with, and reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for the high level strategy of these functions as well as leading the day to day operations. This includes the employment lifecycle of all Outerlings, from recruitment, to employee experience and engagement, to performance feedback and everything in between. Simply put, you will be responsible for the happiness and development of our people!
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to attract and recruit the right talent to support our growing business needs
- Streamline the recruiting & onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality
- Foster an inclusive and highly collaborative culture, by leading employee engagement initiatives, such as employee surveys, goal setting, all-hands meetings and offsites, employee benefits and annual review cycles
- Player-coach role, that includes coaching and mentorship responsibilities for at least one direct report
- Build strong relationships with our operations partners, fostering trust and promoting collaboration
- Handle confidential matters with discretion
Required Skills
- 5+ years in people operations, human resources and / or talent acquisition
- Having worked in a technology startup environment is a preferred
- People management experience preferred
- Highly organized with a heavy attention to detail and planning
- Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
- Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Good understanding of people ops, employee engagement HR applications
